Frequently Asked Questions

Give us a call! For all new pilots, we kindly request that you set aside an hour for a ground brief and up to an hour for a check flight from YBAS with one of our pilots.

We're not flight examiners, so as long as you can handle the aircraft and the airspace you're good to go!

Our insurance minimums cover pilots with a Recreational Pilot's License (RPL) with at least 25 hours command/dual. No time on type is required!

Additionally, you will need a current flight review and relevant medical (class 5 certificate or greater).

Prior to your first flight, we kindly ask that you provide us with a copy of your:

  • Flight crew license, ratings and endorsements

  • Current medical (class 5 or above)

  • A scan of your logbook (a photo or electronic copy is fine)

We service WBJ locally in Alice by a certified LAME, and constantly keep our aircraft in great shape in accordance with scheduled maintenance.

For us, flying is a labour of love and we spend many hours waxing, polishing and ensuring the interior is neat and tidy. We'd love for you to share our passion for WBJ!

Currently, our aircraft is not affiliated with a CASR Part 141 or 142 Registered Training Organization, and so cannot offer flight training through WBJ.

However, we highly encourage using the aircraft to build hours, practice circuits or consolidate your lessons for your training!

We hope to expand our affiliations to include flight training in the near future.

Of course you can! Freedom is one of the many joys of flying. Simply call, text or email us at least 24 hours in advance and we'll fuel the aircraft and taxi it to the main GA apron for you.

We can pre-arrange a drop off for keys and any other services you require.
